Mar CC DSO: Soaring
March 23, 2011
Jayleigh mentioned that she found it useful to have the colour and Hex number palette included with my kits. Thanks for the feedback, jayleigh! Above are 2 of the 4 blends I made for Soaring as part of designing the kit. This time I have included these blends as well as the swatch. They are small files, approx 35KB each so they don’t add much to the total folder size. Would you like to have any of these blends that I make (I don’t always do so) included with future kits?
A6 and QL Printable Cards made with Soaring
The bonus Bird Cluster, with and without DropShadows
is included as part of the download

Hi Juno! I think it would be great to have these color blends included as part of your download if it isn’t too much trouble!!!
Thanks so much for another beautiful kit!!!
Sandi
Wow, Sandi – that was quick! How fantastic 🙂
Thanks for the feedback. I find the blends good for subtlety in colouring.

Yes, please – they really are helpful! Thanks for this great kit. Your high standards in design are what make your kits so usable for the heritage style of scrap i use to tell my family history. Having the swatches and blends really will be helpful. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
What a truly wonderful commendation. Thank you, jayleigh! I will go ahead and include any future blends I make. For any combinations I don’t blend, or to make your own, the tool I use is (not surprisingly) Color Blender. See my sidebar under Resources for the link.

What a lovely kit – I adore the papers! You have such a beautiful take on the swatches each month. Thank you so much for sharing them!
I’m delighted you like my interpretations, Dawn. It’s always interesting to see how each designer adds their own personality!

Thank you very much for sharing not only your talent but by also sharing the blending and color swatches. It is so hard at time to get a color that will work with a kit. the picker sometimes does not grab the correct color, especially if there is texture in the paper or element.
You’re welcome, jhawk. I know what you mean about the Color Picker, but there is also a great tip I learned along the way that helps. Look for a Newbie Notes on it asap 🙂

I don’ t know if I can use the blending – maybe some day, you’ll never know *SS* – but thank you for including these and off course for the lovely freebie!
The way I use them is very easy, Kirsten. I’ll do a Newbie Notes soon that will show you how!

Carol, this looks wonderful and what a great amount of work too. Thanks for the acknowledgment of the Rusticpixelbackgrounds Blog.
Hi Sandra, glad you like it!
(NOTE: Sandra of Rustic Pixels made the music background that I turned into a photo corner in Soaring.)
