About Juno

Main Points

I am Irish, living about 10 miles from Dublin city centre. I have the privilege to be mother to 3 extraordinary children, and the very great honour to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

My online friends call me Juno.

With a background  in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing, when I wanted to put together a unique and special gift album for my parents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary, I discovered  Digital Scrapbooking and fell upon it with zest. Self-taught in Photoshop, I am constantly learning new aspects to digital design.

I share my home with a little gray feline with an Empress Complex. This is NOT her, but may as well be – she sits just like this in the bathroom sink waiting to be provided with a drink. Disconcerting to unsuspecting guests, as you can imagine…Couldn’t believe it when I came across this picture of another cat who obviously enjoys running water, too!

    Hi Juno,

my name is Tina…I found you about a comment at digifree 🙂 You’ve asked about a problem with the comments from digifree. I also use worpress and I’ve the same problem. Did you found a solution for this? I deaktivated my anti-spam plugin but that seems not to be the problem 😦 Could you please let me know if you have a solution?

    Greetings from Germany

    Dear Juno,
I am soooooo surprised and happy to see, you are my sister!
I know I found your blog sometimes on craft cave, but never read your “About Juno”.
Today I saw the pictures about Jesus and thought “wow, I know these pictures!”

Now I am so very happy to find you, because we have something in common: I love cats, vintage designs and – I am also ill with M.E. !
Because of this illness I can not work and started as a scrap-designer a few weeks ago. But it is hard, because I have no background in graphic design or so on. I have to learn everything by myself 🙂

Dear Juno, if you like to have more contact and talk a bit about scrapbooking and M.E. (in Germany we use the name CFS), so you could write me an email.

    Best wishes!

    • December 6, 2010 12:52 am

So clever to recognize the pictures! I will email you again soon, dear Minoush.

I have been a Jehovah’s Witness for 28 years, I have lived on the Isle of Wight for 24 years I originally came from Leicester. I had a very bad road accident which makes it very painful to walk hence that is one of the reasons I got into scrapbooking and cardmaking. It makes it much easier to do when I can get ideas and free scraps from generous people like you.

    • May 18, 2011 8:31 am

Hello my dear sister! I’m so sorry to hear about your accident and glad I can help a little with some craft-distraction. Feel free to download and print any of the cards at Cards by Carol if you would like to share some encouragement with others as well. (Acts 20:35) Stay strong and joyful in Jehovah’s holy spirit. We are so close to the end of the last days, soon you’ll be dancing!

I have just opening for the first time your scrapbooking website and I have seen with surprise your proposition for study the Bible. I’m a sister from the North of France and I am very happy to see you take all opportunities to preach the good new .

Many people practise scrapbooking and many will see your message.

Congratulations for your faith. I am happy to see than everywhere my sisters and brothers do their best to follow the Jesus’ example.

    Thanks also for your freebies.

Sorry for my english ….. I’am not fluent in English

    With my brotherly love

      Hi Patricia
I’m delighted to hear from you! And your English is very good – I’m learning a little Spanish at the moment and would be delighted to be able to communicate as well as you in another language.

        My dear sister

Thanks for your compliment but I have still much progress to do to speak english fluently but I don’t give up because I think that maybe a day Jehovah will use me to testify in English in our terrotary. You also don’t give up learning Spanish.

Today we have our first day of convention. We are 8000 sisters and brothers . The program was very encouraging and well suited to the times we live. Have you had your convention ? I thought of you and my daughter because a part of program listing the things that no longer exist in the Kingdom of God and the disease is among them. Soon you will not have to suffer from ME, no pain , no morning where you can’t get up.

Courage my sister . My brotherly love is with you and Jehovah will bless you .

      • July 29, 2011 9:22 pm

I think English must be a very difficult language to learn. Well done for your high goals, Patricia. The most wonderful thing to use a new language for is to teach the good news and to help others to have a close relationship with our loving God, Jehovah. I too hope to learn enough Spanish to be able to do this. Although I may rely also on clever things like Google translation bots as well! When I’ve fully worked out how to use them, I’ll email you and share what I’ve learned 🙂
I hope to attend part of the convention this weekend and part of it next weekend. Everyone is saying how encouraging it is to be there so I’m looking forward to it immensely. I’ll email you again when I’ve recovered!

Hope many will attend tonights Memorial and wish you all the best and Jehovah’s blessings! http://www.frumpiesworld.blogspot.com/

Hi, Juno, I love your website, it’s so nice to find a fellow Witness crafter who really lives up to the scripture, “You received free, give free”. I have been a baptized Witness for 3 years, but I was studying for YEARS before that. signed up as a follower, Much Christian love, Sister Ann Stutchbury, Southampton-Woolston Congregation.

    Hi Juno,

I am so thrilled to find your website and that you are promoting Jehovah and his word. You are a fellow sister in two of the things I love most, Jehovah’s organization and scrapbooking. I have always wanted to travel to Ireland and hopefully my husband and I will be able to start traveling abroad soon. We live in Texas and would love to see more of the world. If not now, in Paradise. Hope to have the opportunity to meet you some day.

    Dear Carol

Just before finding you, I was just thinking whether I should be perusing the scriptures rather than looking for digi-kits, as I’ve been scrappin’ on and off for quite sometime now. So, finding out that you and several of your followers are Witnesses flabbergasted me! I honestly think Jehovah was behind it, as never have I seen any digi-scrapping sites like yours before.

This Sunday it will be 11 weeks since I plucked up courage and walked into Paignton’s Kingdom Hall, their welcome overwhelmed me. I really look forward to their meetings and feel so much better within myself. I chat to
Jehovah all the time now, so much so other people probably think I’ve gone
    off me trolley!

It’s my 8th Bible study today with my good friend Jemimah, but I may not be going as I’ve had a tummy bug for several days. So, probably have a
good bible study session at home… with Jehovah! Just like I did on Sunday
    last.

Certainly be following your blogsite (as well as jw.org of course.)
Much love and Jehovah’s blessing to you and yours
    Sally xx

    • July 1, 2014 2:47 pm

Hi Sally, hello and welcome dear sister!
I’m delighted to hear that you are really enjoying your study. There’s nothing quite like it, is there? Knowledge and understanding of the scriptures, a closer relationship with Jehovah, our wonderful Creator, and the spiritual peace and joy that it brings. No wonder Jesus said, “HAPPY are those conscious of their spiritual need.” Matthew 5:3.
Paignton – is that in the UK? I’m thinking yes. Something about your phrase, “off me trolley” has an English and not American ring to it 🙂
Sorry to hear you’re not too well at the moment. You could always consider a short Bible Study over the phone, or using the Internet? (If you feel up to it!)
That’s what I do when studying with my students, I use Skype and Gmail Chat/Hangout. I was working towards my goal of being a regular pioneer when I became ill, so now I use the resources I have here at home to share my love for Jehovah, and to pass on the priceless knowledge that others so kindly shared with me.
Get well soon! And please pass on my love to my sister Jemimah ❤
