April CC: Honeycomb
ometimes when I start working on the current Color Challenge, ideas and inspiration are hard to come by – making things difficult. Sometimes, ideas and inspiration flood in – making things difficult! I thought I would have the first type of problem with this month’s swatch of rich, saturated colours, but I ended up having lots of ideas and a huge folder full of designs, papers and elements. So many that its hard to actually put a cohesive kit together. In the meantime I was working on a card for my Printables blog, and decided to use some of the embossed papers I was designing. The result of that is the 5×7″ Card above, which is available as a free download at the moment at Cards by Carol. And I’ve put the papers and elements used to make it into a mini kit. Cream, honey, milk and dark chocolate – O Kimmie, how you torture us. Excuse me while I have a snack…
The papers and elements in the kit are full size. (12×12″, 300dpi etc)
To make the card, I resized the individual design items for best effect.
The foreground mats have been clipped to rounded rectangle shape layers.
The Daisy mat is resized and digitally inked.
Mystified by a particular technique?
