Newbie Notes: Changing Brush Size

July 8, 2009

Newbie Notes mcp

Did you know…

You can change your brush size “on the fly” with a very cool, speedy keyboard shortcut –

Use the square brackets  [  ]  to alter the size of a brush you have already selected.

The one on the left  [   decreases the brush size. Keep pressing until you have the size you want.

The one on the right  ]  increases the brush size.

If you forget which is which, the – and + signs are almost directly above  the square brackets on most keyboards, so they can serve as a quick visual reference.

This works for other tools as well, e.g. the eraser and the clone tool.
