Newbie Notes, View One Layer

So, you’re working away on a many-layered Photoshop thing of beauty, and it’s getting complicated to edit and navigate your way up and down the layers…does this happen to anyone else?Ā  šŸ™‚

Did you know that there is a simple way to view just one layer of your file, without turning off the eye of each and every other layer?

Just hold down Alt and click on the eye of the layer you want to isolate. This was an “aaahhhh” moment for me when I discovered you could do this. Then when you want to revert to seeing all the layers again, just repeat. Hold down Alt and click on the eye of the same layer, the one you just isolated, and Voila!
